African Union to create military force for crises
The AU agreed on Monday to set up an emergency military force consisting wholly of African troops which would be able to respond to crises and conflicts on the continent.
“We have established an African Standby Force. It is important for Africa to be able to respond,” said AU chairwoman Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
