(PICTURES) New York Civil Rights Activists Protest George Zimmerman's "Not Guilty" Verdict
Hundreds of New Yorkers today convened in New York City's Union Square neighborhood to protest a verdict that acquitted George Zimmerman in the killing of Trayvon Martin.
On July 14th 2013, Zimmerman was found not guilty of second-degree murder and acquitted of manslaughter charges.
Protests in support of Trayvon Martin have sprung up throughout the country in reaction to the verdict.
Martin, 17, was gunned down by Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer, on February 26, 2012.
