Debuting in 1999 with his major label release, The Slim Shady LP, Eminem has gone on to have one of the most illustrious careers in hip-hop, ever.
The Detroit rapper has released eight (six solo, two with his rap group, D12) platinum albums with eight releases debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Charts. In 2003, he won an Oscar for Best Song for his track, "Lose Yourself," from the critically-acclaimed film 8 Mile, a movie he starred in to rave reviews. Over the years, Eminem is widely recognized as one of hip-hop's greatest lyricists and one of the best rappers ever to do it.
