Sir Alex Ferguson’s new book becomes fastest selling non-fiction of all time

Sir Alex Ferguson's second autobiography, now holds the record for the fastest selling non-fiction book.

The much anticipated memoir titled 'My Autobiography', which has a cover price of £25, sold 115,547 copies in a week.


These statistics were confirmed by industry magazine The Bookseller, who started keeping officials records 15 years ago. The previous holder of the record was Delia Smith's How To Cook: Book Two which shifted 112,000 copies in its first week, nearly 14 years ago.

The former Manchester United boss, is well ahead of other big name memoirs for their first week on the shelves, including Tony Blair's book A Journey [92,000 copies three years ago] and David Beckham's My Side [which achieved 86,000 copies a decade ago].
