KWAM1 walks into the HEADIES hall of fame

KWAM 1 INDUCTED INTO THE HEADIES HALL OF FAME

Fuji maestro King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal also known as Kwam 1 has been inducted into The Headies Hall of Fame.
Kwam 1 was given the special recognition award based on his outstanding achievement in the Fuji genre of music, plus his longevity and consistence in the entertainment industry . The presentation was made to him at the awards show on Boxing Day, December 26, 2013 at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki Lagos.

Speaking to HipHopWorld Magazine on the awards, he says he's surprised.
'I feel great. This came to me as a surprise, a well deserving one to the glory of God and to the memory of those that played good Fuji music and are gone,' Kwam 1 tells us.
Oluaye Fuji (as he is fondly called) closed the night with a surprise performance, as many who were already filing out of the hall turned back to watch Kwam 1 perform.
One would have thought it was not a Fuji kind of audience that gathered at the show until Kwam 1 performed his popular numbers 'Talaso' and 'Olorun mi.' No one was sitting anymore, as people remaining in the hall all moved to the front (closer to the stage), standing and singing along with the Fuji star.
