Napoli to launch swoop for former Arsenal man Song
Midfielder Song left the Gunners for Barca in 2012 in what he described as a dream move to the Catalan giants.
But he has struggled for game time there, where he has often played second fiddle to Sergio Busquets, and has so far started just 22 La Liga matches in almost 18 months.
That has led to speculation about his future with a move to Old Trafford mooted, while Arsenal were also linked with a shock move of their own.
But now sources in Italy have claimed that Napoli manager Rafa Benitez is very keen on landing Song in the January sales.
The former Liverpool boss reckons the promise of first-team football could be enough to lure the 26-year-old to Naples on a permanent basis.
Inter Milan and AC Milan are also monitoring the situation but Benitez appears to be stealing a march on the San Siro duo in the race for Song.
