Graphic Details Of Paul Walker’s Death Revealed In Coroner’s Report

The final coroner's report on the tragic death of actor Paul Walker and his friend Roger Rodas were released today.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office determined that the Porsche was going at least 100 miles per hour when it crashed in November.  Please note that the coroner's report contains graphic information some may find disturbing.

Walker, who rose to fame in the street racing franchise "Fast & Furious," was in the passenger seat of a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, driven by his racing team partner, Roger Rodas.

The vehicle slammed into a light pole and burst into flames in an office park in the community of Valencia in Santa Clarita, during a charity function.

The cause of death, which was already released on Walker's death certificate, was from "combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries."

Here is the official report, released on Friday by Los Angeles county.  The details of the actor's injuries may be disturbing to some readers.

The report notes that the driver, Rodas, was traveling at an "unsafe speed" and lost control of the car "for unknown reasons."  After the crash into a tree and a lamp post "the vehicle was almost split in half…the majority of the vehicle was also charred".

The report states that the 40-year-old actor may have taken a few breaths after the crash, due to the bits of soot found in his trachea.

Walker suffered from multiple broken bones and a fractured jaw and his entire body was charred through the skin. He was burned so badly that his organs were not suitable for donation.

Paul's body was discovered in the passenger seat in a "pugilistic stance,"  which means he was in a defensive position preparing for a crash.

Driver Roger Rodas, 38, suffered major head trauma.  The report stated that the "top portion of his skull fractured and his brain exposed."

There were no traces of drugs or alcohol in either Walker's or Rodas' body.

Two weeks after Paul's death, a private and small funeral was held for family and friends.

Paul Walker had been filming "The Fast & Furious 7″ at the time of the tragic crash.  Sources reveal that his character will be retired and not killed off in the movie.

The movie is set to open April 10, 2015.
