Women Arise Members Threaten To Protest Naked If Abducted Girls Not Rescued in 2 Weeks

Women Arise declares nationwide rallies against terror and threatened to protest topless in Chibok, Borno State, if the abducted schoolgirls are not rescued within the next two weeks.

A screen capture taken from the latest Boko Haram video shows the alleged kidnapped girls dressed in the full-length hijabs and praying in an undisclosed rural location

Earlier the President of Women Arise, Dr. Joe Odumakin, promised to march in a peaceful procession on May 12 in Lagos and others states with the rally's completion in Chibok and Sambisa forest. She also stressed that the nationwide protest would continue in Enugu State on Tuesday and move on to Lokoja, Kaduna, Onitsha, and Akure states.

In her statement Odumakin threatened that if at the end of the 14-days protest the girls are not found the protesters on their own hook will come to Chibok half-naked to search for children. She also condemned the government's inability to locate the girls and once again pointed out at the porous borders in Nigeria.

The protesters who also marched on May 6 from the premises of the Lagos Television in Agidingbi to the governor's office in Alausa were carrying placards saying: "Shekau, find goods to sell, not our girls", "Have we lost our humanity?" and "Hunt down the defilers of innocent girls".

In a letter to President Goodluck Jonathan submitted to Governor Babatunde Fashola, they demanded:

to compel the leaders of Chad, Niger and Cameroon to produce the girls or face the diplomatic wrath of Nigeria;
to rehabilitate the girls when they return and give money compensation to their parents;
to recognise the girls as heroes of the war against terrorism;
to ensure that the girls pass the WASSCE and provide scholarship up to university level;
to call back the Governor of Borno to school to be part of the rescue efforts.
The governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola, who met the protesters, regrettably, said nothing new about the rescue operation, promised to deliver a letter to the President and expressed hope that missing children would be soon found safe and sound while Chibok will be a defining moment that finally unites the whole nation.

The members of the organization also invite every well-meaning Nigerian to join them in your city in the struggle for a stable and secure Nigeria. The law enforcement agencies pledged to provide adequate security to citizens embarking on rallies and other peaceful demonstrations.

Today the Boko Haram terrorist sect have issued yet another video, showing, as they claim, the missing Chibok girls who still are in their captivity. Also in the video, the sect's leader Abubakar Shekau imposes options for the girls' release.
