Group supports GEJ with 'Goodluck' mixtapes in Alaba
Members of the Alaba Promoters Association have come together to show their support for the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The
association, which is the most popular platform for established and
fast rising artistes to showcase their music and videos on Mix CDs sold
nationwide, have revealed that their endorsement is on the basis of
Jonathan’s great performance in office.
A ranking member of the association, simply known as Kelly or the Moving Train, is of conviction that Jonathan need’s re-election due to the improving state of roads.
“Whenever
I went for business around Ikeja from Alaba, the Apapa-OShodi road was a
nightmare. Today, the road is fully rebuilt from Mile 2 to Oshodi and I
travel on that road under 10mins as against 3-5hours before.”
Another promoter, Uche
aka Person Entertainment, is of similar thought, too. For him his
travelling duration has been cut short because of the improvement in
interstate Federal roads.
“Going to Eastern
parts of Nigeria like Ogoja in Cross River for business took almost 3
days by road. Now, I spend less than 16 hours. Ore – Benin is perfect.
The East – west Road is one of the best roads ever and is nearing
completion. And when the Lagos to Ibadan express road is complete, it
would directly impact on my business.”
Another
trader at the popular Alaba market, Nicholas (Nicky Entertainment)
thanks the President for the Enugu International Airport, the first in
the Eastern part of Nigeria.
According to him, the airport has made his business operations more comfortable.
“It
has made business and travel extremely comfortable and cheaper. They
all excitedly mentioned the massive support the GEJ administration has
given to entertainment industry and the N3billion loan just announced
for distribution of entertainment product.”
The endorsement coalition, which according to gathered reports is a sponsored group, was put together by Wale Kuku, a popular entertainment mogul at Alaba.
