On Nov. 6, 1990, Madonna, well known for pushing the limits of sexual content in her songs, released a sultry single entitled “Justify My Love” from her highly anticipated album at that time -The Immaculate Collection. In the month that followed, Madonna filmed a highly controversial and sexually charged five-minute video for the song, and submitted it to MTV which promptly rejected it on the excuse that it was just too hot for television. She was accused of promoting nudity, sex, sadomasochism, bisexuality, and other forms of sexual perversion, so the video was banned.
