Zecevic the ex Partizan Belgrade President, claims Mr West was actually 40 years old when he played for Partizan Belgrade in 2002.
Mr West says "If I was 40 in 2002, then I would be clocking what age now? He is not a serious man and I haven't seen anything important in what he is saying. After I left the club, I still played for seven or so more years at the top level. I don't know how that is possible if I was indeed 40 then as he claimed..."
While speaking further in defense, "It was Lothar Matheus that took me there from Kaiserslautern of Germany. I had a two-year deal with the German club and was well treated. In fact, the club is the only club that gave me everything I wanted but I couldn't stay there because of the racism in the club. I played for only two months and couldn't continue. It was not long after that Matheus joined Partizan Belgrade and he was the one who secured my release from Kaiserslautern who were having my licence then," stressed the former Nigerian defender who is now into pastoral work after an illustrious football career.
