Developing Sports news: Including Ozil, Ba, Fellaini and James McCarthy

Breaking News:

Arsenal have made an enquiry to bring Chelsea striker Demba Ba to the Emirates. The Gunners have offered a £1.5m loan fee, though Chelsea are holding out for a fee in the region of £3m. There is interest from Napoli and West Ham also.

Sky Sports News reports that there are ongoing talks between Everton and Manchester United over the potential sale of Marouane Fellaini. Meanwhile, Everton are currently looking to bring in Wigan's James McCarthy; they had a bid rejected yesterday and Dave Whelan is looking for a fee of £14m for the midfielder.

Sky Sports News, by way of Guillem Balague, reports that Manchester United are willing to pay Ander Herrera's buy out clause of €36m (£30.5m). They will have to pay it full in cash and it was reported earlier that the player wants to move to Manchester.

Sky also reports that Aston Villa are holding talks with Lazio over a deal for forward Libor Kozak.

They also claim Zenit St Petersburg have quoted Spurs a fee of £10million to take striker Hulk on loan for the season.

Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has confirmed that he hopes to bring in one more player this season. He said it would be a loan move for a striker currently playing outside England.

Ongoing Developments:

Mesut Ozil is having a medical in Germany as his move to Arsenal draws closer. He is currently with the German national team and his medical was completed by the Bayern Munich team doctor.

Liverpool striker Fabio Borini is having a medical prior to a loan move to Sunderland.

West Brom's Peter Odemwingie is in Cardiff City completing his medical ahead of a proposed move.

Nicklas Bendtner is close to completing a move to Crystal Palace, after agreeing an exit route from Arsenal.

West Bromwich Albion are in talks to sign Everton forward Victor Anichebe and Sunderland's Stephane Sessegnon.

Aston Villa and Stoke City are in talks to bring Stephen Ireland to the Britannia Stadium on a season long loan.

Everton target Fernando is currently having a work permit hearing in London. He is seen as a replacement for Marouane Fellaini if the latter secures his move to Manchester United.

Done Deals:

Gareth Bale has passed a medical and completed his world-record transfer to Real Madrid. He was presented in front of 20,000 fans at the Santiago Bernabeu. He said it was a dream move for him having followed the club since he was 11.

Liverpool have completed deals for Tiago Ilori, Mamadou Sakho and Victor Moses, the latter on a one-year loan deal from Chelsea.

Manchester City's Abdul Razak has joined Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala on a season long loan.
