Wigan 3-2 Bolton

Wigan winger Callum McManaman's second-half strike sealed a fortunate three points for the Latics after weathering the storm against an insurgent Bolton side at the DW Stadium.

The home side looked comfortable in the first-half of this mid-table clash, with Ben Watson's penalty and a sensational bicycle kick from on-loan Manchester United starlet Nick Powell giving the Latics a 2-0 lead at the break.

But Bolton rallied back when the teams emerged from the tunnel, Neil Danns heading in just three minutes after the re-start before Andre Moritz netted the equaliser on the hour.

The revitalised Trotters were the better team for the remainder of the game, with Wigan stopper Scott Carson on hand to prevent Moritz and Jermaine Beckford from putting the visitors in front.

But despite Bolton's new-found superiority, McManaman struck from inside the box in the 68th minute to once again take the lead.

A frantic closing ten minutes belonged to Bolton, who drove forward in search of another equaliser.

Jay Spearing, Beckford and Moritz all had chances to score but the Latics held on to hand Uwe Rosler his first victory as Wigan boss.
