Katsina judicial commission rejects PDP memo
Olaide Oyelude, Katsina
The Katsina State Judicial Commission probing the finances of the immediate past regime of former governor Ibrahim Shehu Shema, on Tuesday discountenanced the memo prepared by the Peoples Democratic Party, which is meant to highlight the achievements of the party while the party was in power in the state from 1999 to 2015.
The Chairman of the Commission, Justice Muhammadu Ibrahim Suraj, ruled that aside the fact that the memo did not address the issue of the financial loss suffered by the state government from 2011 to 2015, the content of the memo was outside the terms of references of the commission.
