Bruce's boys battle to historic victory over Rodgers' below-par visitors Hull secured a memorable victory over Liverpool at the KC Stadium. They took the lead through midfielder Jake Livermore's deflected 20th-minute strike. It took Liverpool only seven minutes to equaliser, however, in the form of Steven Gerrard's free-kick. David Meyler then gave Hull the lead with 20 minutes to play and Martin Skrtel's late own goal sealed the three points for the home side.
